We started off the week with an online FHE on Monday evening, November 29th. Shirleen was sick for several days. Later in the week Paul went shopping in downtown Mesa, and decided to take a video of the light rail. Here's one frame (looking northeast across Main St., with Pioneer Park in the background):
Dave and Lani came to town for a visit, and to attend an EVMCO concert (Amy and Bryce were in the concert). Lani brought some rhubarb jam and Lamingtons (Australian raspberry coconut cakes completely prepared, except for the whipped cream that was added at our home)!
On Saturday morning Lani went to a music practice with Shirleen (at our ward building) for the organ/piano arrangements of the Christmas hymns. Paul and Dave went to Gilbert to see the Church's Giving Machine. As it happened, there were four of these set up near the Gilbert water tower. Full-time missionaries were there with the machines. One of the Giving Machines can be seen at ground level, in front of the water tower.
The four of us ended up back at our house, but not for long. We (in two vehicles) went to Bryce & Amy's house to pick up Lizzie, Karsten, Maylee, and Melody to go to a ballet ("The Little Wooden Doll") at Mesa High School. Evan and Tarmy's girls, Rachel and Jane, performed.

We took the grandkids home, then went back to our house to say our goodbyes, and Dave & Lani were then on their way back to Flagstaff.

The two of us then went to an evening EVMCO performance at the Mesa Arts Center.

Sunday evening, December 5th, Amy & Bryce and the 5 kids came to our home for dinner. A good week!
