October Continues

Monday, October 11th

We had an online FHE with Craig & Sarah, LeAnn & Michael, and Amy & Bryce & kids.  We enjoy getting together this way, and appreciate technology that let's us do it!  There was a windstorm in our area that night, and some rain.

Tuesday

Shirleen indexed, and she crocheted baby booties.  Paul provided some transportation for Melody (preschool).  Shirleen came along when Paul drove Melody home, and then we did errands.  That evening Paul drove Lizzie to & from her weekly violin lesson.  When he took her home he stayed awhile to play Chinese checkers with Bryce and Maylee.  Michael learned that his contract with the church has been extended through the end of next year.

Wednesday

Paul provided some transportation for Melody (preschool).  Shirleen finished making the back for the quilt.  We went to the Phoenix Temple in the evening for endowments.  The Gilbert Temple is closed for cleaning.  The Mesa Temple has an on-going Open House, and will soon be re-dedicated, so it remains closed to ordinance work.

Thursday

Paul provided some transportation for Melody (preschool).  Work continued on the quilt.  Amy helped Shirleen put the quilt on the frames, and Paul watched James & Melody.

Friday

We went to Fry's so Shirleen could get a flu shot, and to pick up prescriptions for her.  Because Shirleen needed some more thread for tying the quilt, we stopped at a Michaels store on the way home.  Later, Amy and her five children came to our home.  Paul took four of the children to Emerald Park, and Amy helped Shirleen start tying the quilt.

Saturday

Paul served a four-hour shift at the Temple Open House.  His assignment was outside at the east entrance.  Shirleen served a different four-hour shift at the Temple Open House.  Her assignment as an usher included various locations inside the temple.  We saw family and friends while there.  Paul saw Shannon &Trevor Jensen and family.  Shirleen saw Amy & Bryce and Steve & Amy Lunt and their families.  We are pleased that the temple is open for visitors and hope they feel the love the Lord has for all His children.

Sunday

Paul attended Bishopric Meeting and Ward Council in the morning.  Shirleen offered the opening prayer in Sacrament Meeting.  Later, she was a substitute Primary pianist.  In the evening we enjoyed dinner at our home with our family in Arizona.  After A&B&kids left, LeAnn & Michael, and the two of us, did a Numbrix puzzle, then played a round of Splendor.
