Monday, 16th

Shirleen wore the Mother's Day apron she received from Amy & Bryce on Sunday:

Sarah & Craig, Michael & LeAnn, and the Griners joined with us for an online FHE that evening.

Tuesday, May 17th

In the morning Paul gave Shirleen a ride to the temple, where she substituted for another ordinance worker.  Paul went home, and went for a bike ride.  On the way back to our house he spotted this tortoise down the street, on the sidewalk:

Paul started contacting people to identify the owner, and finally did.  A happy ending.

Later, Paul picked up Melody, and the two of them went to meet Shirleen at the temple.  And here Shirleen is, with Melody:

On the way home we took Melody to her preschool.  And that evening Paul took Lizzie to & from her violin lesson.  Also, we learned that Lee Ann Lunt, one of Shirleen's cousins, had passed away. 

Wednesday, May 18th

In the morning we went to the temple for proxy Initiatory work, then we did some shopping, then we picked up Melody, and took her to her preschool.

Thursday, May 19th

We went to a Michaels store so Shirleen could get some more yarn to continue crocheting booties (which she donates).

Friday, May 20th

Our day began at 6:30am with our usual morning shift at the Mesa AZ Temple.

Saturday, May 21st

Lizzie had her violin recital, here:

Later, we got a call from Bryce who invited us to lunch with his entire family, except Amelia (who was moderating an online music therapy seminar).  We went to the Black Bear Diner!

Sunday, May 22nd

Our ward had a change in the bishopric:  Larry Hanna was released as first counselor;  Ray Deer was sustained as the new first counselor.  We went to a choir practice after church.  In the evening we had Michael & LeAnn and Amy & Bryce & 5 kids for dinner.  We ate well!  LeAnn made a white chicken chili soup.  Amy made a salad, some corn bread, and a blackberry cobbler.  Mom made jello with fruit.

One of the grandchildren spotted a baby praying mantis.  Here it is on Lizzie's hand:

And here it is in our front garden:

Another good week for us!
