Another Week

On Monday we went shopping for material for a quilt Shirleen is making as a wedding gift for Kaylene.  Monday evening Paul grilled some gourmet burgers (they came pre-formed, with cheese, etc.):

On Tuesday we went to the Gilbert temple for an endowment session.

Later that day Shirleen went to work on the quilt, first pre-shrinking the fabric, then ironing it.

Wednesday morning was a time for mowing the front lawn.  Paul got to it!

Later in the morning he picked up Melody, then took her to & from pre-school.  And work continued on the quilt!

On Thursday Paul picked up Melody to take her to pre-school, and later took her home when she was finished there.  Shirleen continued her quilt project:

Friday was a day for grocery shopping.  No sewing, unfortunately; Shirleen was dizzy.  And, we're happy our granddaughter Kaylene married Gage Corcoran in Florida today.

On Saturday Amy & Bryce had a Millennial Choirs and Orchestra morning recording session.  They brought Esther (aka Lizzie), Karsten, Maylee, Melody, and James to our house.  Shirleen made pumpkin pancakes for breakfast, then we all walked to Emerald Park, and later back home.  Here are some highlights:

Back at home Shirleen helped the kids make treats:

Amelia returned to pick up the kids.  It was a fun Saturday morning!

On a sad note, we learned that Larry Johnston (a member of our ward, and long-time acquaintance) passed away on Saturday.  It was unexpected; he seemed to be in such good shape.

On Sunday at church Shirleen accompanied (on the piano) a neighbor girl who played the violin:  "Did You Think To Pray?"  Michael & LeAnn came to our home for dinner, followed by a parlor game:  Splendor.
