On Monday Shirleen continued work on the quilt. We cyber-gathered (via Zoom) on Monday evening for FHE with Sarah & Craig, Michael & LeAnn, and Amy & Bryce (+ kids).
On Tuesday Paul took Melody to & from preschool, Shirleen worked on the quilt again, and we took supper to the full-time sister missionaries at our stake center.
On Wednesday & Thursday Paul was on the road again taking Melody to & from her preschool. On Thursday Paul got an INR (anti-coagulation) test.
Early Friday morning found us in the Gilbert temple for an endowment session.
Later on Friday, we attended the funeral services for Larry Johnston, a long-time neighbor and member of our ward. Shirleen provided a cake and cooked ham for the luncheon. We were happily surprised when a couple in our ward brought us some snicker-doodles that afternoon.
On Saturday, Paul mowed the front lawn, Shirleen gave him a haircut (after doing housework and working some more on the quilt). Shirleen attended a baby shower for a sister in our ward; we were happy to attend the Gilbert AZ temple for sealings (our first sealing session since before the pandemic began); and that evening we were off to a wedding reception for Bridget Ethington and Noah Cook.
On Sunday we had a Fast & Testimony Sacrament meeting for our ward because General Conference is next weekend, and our ward conference will be on the second Sunday in October. In the evening Michael & LeAnn, and Amy & Bryce & their five children came to our home for dinner, visiting, and games.
