Mid-September

On Monday we travelled to Scottsdale for Shirleen to have a sinus checkup.  That evening we had FHE (via Zoom) with Sarah & Craig.

On Tuesday Paul did some cleanup in the back patio area.  He discovered this crawling up the wall:

Later, we went to the Gilbert Temple for an endowment session.  That evening Paul picked up Lizzie, and went with her to her violin lesson.

On Wednesday Paul drove Melody to & from preschool.  He also started beta-testing a new game ("Dots") Michael is developing.  Work continued on the quilt.

On Thursday Paul drove over to stay with James while Amy took Melody to a preschool swim party.  And Shirleen continued work on the quilt, sometimes sewing and then unpicking and re-sewing.

On Friday Shirleen continued working on the quilt.

But she wasn't feeling well with a sore throat, so she arranged for a tele-visit with a PA at our doctor's office.  A medication was prescribed, but there was also a recommendation that she be tested for COVID.  So, we scheduled an appointment, and it was decided Paul should also be tested.  Off we went.  While there we were told it would be one to two days to get the results.

Following the COVID tests we headed to our pharmacy.  Paul went in, got the prescription, and asked to receive the seasonal flu vaccination.  He got it, and then waited there for a while (a post-vaccination requirement).  Unfortunately, Shirleen was in the car.  However, she had the key, so she did have air conditioning access.

On Saturday we got our COVID test results:  Both negative (Yay!).  We have each had both Pfizer shots, but while that's a good level of protection, it isn't perfect, so there was a possibility of a problem...

Saturday brought some wind and rain.  Here's a photo taken from our back patio:

We watched the BYU-ASU football game that evening.  BYU prevailed.

Sunday began with Paul attending a bishopric meeting (he's the ward clerk), followed by a ward council meeting.  He came home for lunch, then we were off to Sacrament meeting.
