Monday, May 30th  

We had an interesting shopping experience.  We went to Fry's, and had to wait quite a while in a checkout line because they had a system outage that prevented the cashiers from being able to tally up customers' purchases.  It did, eventually, get resolved.  The Griners came to our home for our Memorial Day BBQ.  They stayed for FHE, and Sarah & Craig joined via Zoom.  Michael & LeAnn were with her family.

Tuesday, May 31st

Paul was involved in transporting Karsten, Maylee, and Melody for swimming activities, etc.  He inadvertently got Melody into a swim team rather than (the correct) swim lesson, and here she is:

The overall schedule also involved Amelia, who had transported Lizzie both ways, and Karsten one way.  It's somewhat complicated.  Amelia couldn't do it all because James had a pediatrician well-check appointment.  So Paul (by pre-arrangement) got into the middle of the back & forth.  Shirleen substituted for another ordinance worker at the Mesa AZ Temple.  We went to Choices to donate some items that Shirleen had made, and also some items a friend in our ward had made.  That evening Paul took Lizzie to & from a violin lesson.  And later, he went to an evening bishopric meeting.

Wednesday, June 1st

Paul wasn't involved with the swimming activities on this day, but Amelia did correct the situation with Melody.  Shirleen substituted for another ordinance worker at the temple.  Later, we went to Family Services for our afternoon/evening shift.  Paul went to the Princess Mediterranean Deli and Restaurant, and, for takeout, got a cranberry salad (for himself) and a Beef Shawarma wrap (for Shirleen).

Thursday, June 2nd

Our 51st wedding anniversary!  We have completed the first year of our second half-century together.  We went to the temple for sealings:

Later, we drove by the two apartments and the house where we had lived in Tempe back in the 1970s.  And, we went out to dinner at the My Thai Bowl.  A good day together, with an expectation of many more to come!

Friday, June 3rd

We served on our usual morning shift at the Mesa Temple.

Saturday, June 4th

Paul edged & mowed the front yard.

Sunday, June 5th

Paul attended a morning bishopric meeting.  We attended Sacrament Meeting, then Sunday School.  We then went to choir practice.  Then we went home.  Paul returned for a meeting of the ward council.  That evening we enjoyed having Michael and the Griners for dinner at our house.  LeAnn was in Florida.
