The Passing of Lee Ann Lunt

Lee Ann Lunt (one of Shirleen's cousins) passed away May 17th, 2022 in Utah.  Here is a link to her obituary:

We attended the funeral services on Saturday, June 11th, in Salt Lake City.  We attended the interment services in Virden, New Mexico on Monday, June 13th.  Lee Ann was very accomplished, and set a good example for her family and friends.  It was good that we were able to be a part of what happened over the last few days.

The Funeral Services

This event was held at the Hilltop LDS Ward building.  The tributes to Lee Ann were very nice.  Here is the program:

Following the services we went with Jeanne & Leo to their home in Provo.  Grant & Annette joined us there, and the six of us then went out to dinner.  Later, we checked into our motel.  The next day (Sunday, the 12th) we attended church with Jeanne & Leo.

And, they drove us to the SLC airport.  Interestingly, multiple flight delays consumed so much time that Grant & Annette got to their home in Idaho before we even got on our plane.

The Interment

On Monday, Amelia, Karen Johnson, and Kadell Richardson (née Gardner, one of Shirleen's friends who grew up in Duncan) rode with us to Duncan.

In Duncan we visited with Keith & Beth Hansen (Beth is one of Karen's sisters), and then drove to the Virden Cemetery.  And here are several representative photographs:

Following the interment we went to the Duncan church building for a dinner, and here are some representative photos taken there:

Then we drove home (dropping Kadell off in Apache Junction, and Amelia in Mesa).  We continued on to our house, where Karen had left her vehicle, and she drove home to Gilbert from there.

These last few days represent time well spent!
